Kureha Elastomer Co., Ltd. was Established July 28, 1943 in Capital 304.5 million yen and located in Main stockholder Toyobo Co., Ltd.
History
1939 Established as Daiko rubber industry.
1943 The following five companies were integrated into Kureha Rubber Industry Co., Ltd.
The following products were continued to be manufactured and to be sold.
> Akebono Rubber Industry Imazato,Osaka; shoes
> Marubishi Rubber Industry ,Tokyo; rubber hoses
> Yagiho Rubber Industry Kashihara,Nara; rubber hoses
> Minatoyama Rubber Industry Minatoyama,Hyogo; tire and tubes
> Nippon Kikyu Idustry Kawasaki,Kanagawa; balloons
1944 Tsu plant started to manufacture rubber parts for airplanes.
1945

Acquired Koa Rubber Industry Tokyo and Minatoyama . Tsu plants were bombed and burned down. Reconstruction of the Tsu plant started and TOKYO plant was moved to Tamagawa.

1946 Tsu and Tamagawa plants were reconstructed and operation started again.
1951 All facilities in Imazato were relocated to Tsu plant.
1952 All equipments of Kashiwara plant were transferred to Tsu plant.
1956

Introduced the manufacturing technique of rubber parts for spinning machine from Armstrong Cork Co., LTD, U.S.A.

1960 The capital increased to 80 million yen.
1962 The capital increased to120 million yen.
1967 Tamagawa factory was closed and all of the manufacturing was unified to Tsu plant.
1968 Establishment of Nagoya branch.
1969 Establishment of Kyushu branch.
1970 Establishment of Seki plant.
1972 Introduced the licence of manufacturing for rubber lining and rubber screen cloth from Torellbolg in Sweden.
1978 Introduction of added value management system.
1980 Capital increased to 210 million yen.
1982 Capital increased to 304 million yen.
1987 Establishment of a laboratory in Tsu plant.
1988 Renewal of the plant for spinning rubber parts.(First stage) Reconstruction of employee dormitory .
1989 Added precision production lines.
Set up Nagoya office.
1992   Seki plant Office.
1993

Company name was changed from KUREHA Rubber Industry CO,. LTD. into KUREHA ELASTOMER CO,. LTD. on the occasion of 50th anniversary of founding.

1998 Reinforcement of TPE research equipment. Establishment of compound automated storage (warehouse).
1999 Construction of Ultra-thin rubber sheeting factory.
Tsu and Seki plants acquired ISO 9001.
2002 KUREHA Service was established as 100% subsidiary of KUREHA ELASTOMER CO.Ltd. Whole KUREHA group completely acquired ISO 9001.
2004 Tsu and Seki plants acquired ISO14001.
2007 We change the name our Seki plant to Kameyama plant.
2008 Head office and Osaka office moved.
2009 Tokyo branch moved.
